-A Shut-In By The Window
One of my own poems…
-A Shut-In By The Window
As I sit here by my window
the trees sway like a lad and a lady
they whisper their melody of words as if to say
I Love You.
The birds all singing toward the sun
hoping for another day of happiness and joy.
The kids all jumping, skipping, running in the open field;
they play their games and eat their lunch.
The school days are growing near
so the kids have said.
All of this I know while sitting by my window.
The world plays like a film,
never stopping always a move or a sound.
I wish I could be part of this world,
This world by my window.
The world past the glass.
